This jute is very raw. It has actual leaf parts in it, varying thicknesses, many joins, and was not a true 4mm size. Since I bought this to dye, knowing it would swell up, I was satisfied when it looked like 2mm, and it became the 4mm I wanted during the dye process. Gave 3 stars because there were several unuseable sections I had to work around and more that needed trimming and twisting to use. I'm not sure I'd buy it again.
